Well, there it is below. Official proof that we do, in fact, donate what we claim to donate. And it's also fully-verifiable evidence of the fact that all of you out there are really making a difference. If I receive a letter from the people at Pennies of Promise, I'll be sure to post it so that everyone can see how much your efforts are appreciated.
The only other thing that I'd like to share is that starting next month, that thermometer is actually going to mean something. One of the our volunteers, Sofia, suggested that we should make the thermometer into something more than just a pretty picture (cute little fella, isn't it?). So from now on, we're going to set a goal for each month for how much we'd like to raise. The informal goal for this month is $400...but next month--watch out--we're shooting for $500. And I think we can do it.
By the way, if any of you out there have any suggestions on how to spread the word, by all means, please feel free to share. Or, better yet, if you and a group of your friends have a a plan that you'd like to execute, then have at it! Something that worked really well for us in the past was having a Facebook spam-party. Basically, all you would do is start a Facebook group that had Search Kindly as it's central theme and then make a bunch of your friends admins to it. Next thing to do is decide on a day for you to all get together and invite all of your friends to the group and ask everyone to share the link. When my friends and I did this way back when, we were able to increase the size of the group from 200 to 1200 overnight. Free advertising...gotta love it.
