Well, my idea bombed. Though we were able to get almost 150 diggs, we also got buried. For those of you who aren't that familar with Digg, being buried means that the submission has absolutely no hope of ever making the front page. Ah well...
But this doesn't mean that I'm throwing in the towel. That would be preposterous. No, this just means that we're going to have to try another strategy. But before I get into the strategizing, I'd like to thank all of you who went through the trouble of digging the submission. And I'd also like to really thank all of you who stood up for Search Kindly on the comment wall over at Digg. There were some grade-A jerks over there, but you all held your ground and didn't back down from your beliefs at all. After reading all 62 comments that were left about Search Kindly, I realized that there are A LOT of you feel just as strongly about Search Kindly as I do. Again, thanks. High-fives all around.
Moving right along...how about that new feature--Tell A Friend. See, we really do listen to all of your suggestions. Sure, it will usually take awhile to turn those suggestions into realities, but they'll get there sooner or later. I was looking at the analytics reports this morning and I saw that quite a few of you have already started using the feature. Ramadev thought that was pretty interesting, considering that I hadn't even mentioned it in the blog yet. And speaking of mentioning, I'll go ahead and take a minute to explain exactly what Tell A Friend does (though I'm sure that most of you have already figured it out).
If you click on either the link above or the link that is right next to the thermometer, the page that you will be taken to is a form that lets you email a little note to your ten best friends. All you have to do is enter your name, email address, and your friends' email addresses in order for the note to be sent to them on your behalf. When the email shows up in their inboxes, the sender will actually be you and not Search Kindly. I forget the people who requested that we add this, but whoever you are, thanks. I already consider it to be a success.
There is another thing that I'd like to talk about, but I want to make sure that I have something good for Monday. I can, however, leave you with a little hint--Facebook...it's the 5th button from the left, right under the search box. I'm hoping that everyone is thinking what I'm thinking.
