Never give up.
Our first attempt may have faltered, but that doesn't mean that we're supposed to just roll over and take it. That's preposterous. So here's the deal. There is a new user on Facebook by the name of InvisibleChildren SearchKindly and that kid has decided to start a group by the name of:

It's the same contest as before, but this time we're not going to get delisted (I hope). The way to make sure that we don't get delisted is by NOT using the Facebook "Invite People to Join" button. It's going to be absolutely critical that people join, but they are going to have to do it on their own (as opposed to being prompted by a Facebook email/link).
So let's get to work.
By the way, the reason the Invisible Children is going to be receiving the money is because if we were to win it would be happening in May, and Invisible Children was voted to receive the entire May donation.
We only have a few short days left to get the size of the group to at least 4000 members, but I'm convinced that it's possible. Suggestions: send your friends links to the group's page through instant messenger and regular email. And contact all of your friends who were really active with Invisible Children during the school year. Lastly, and I think this is what can make a Huge difference, let's see if we can get Invisible Children involved and have them send out a mass-email to all of their supporters asking them to join the group and post something on the wall. Once your group is made, come back here and register it on this page. Now you are officially part of the In The Facebook contest, and eligible to win Seven Grand.
You're going to need to make your group look HOT. Start a discussion thread. Post some photos. Get people to leave comments. Should it be Edge related? Well that wouldn't hurt. There's tons of elements you could rip off www.edge.ca to use in your group. Remember, at the end of this contest, your group will be judged on the NUMBER OF FRIENDS you collect and how INTERACTIVE your page is.
Invite as many people as possible to join your group. Close friends, friends of friends, family, old school buddies, neighbors you don't even speak to, ANYONE!!! You won't qualify to win $7,000 unless you are near the top of the leaderboard when it comes to how large your group is, so friends are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!
Every weekday (Monday through Friday), we're going to need you to come back to www.edge.ca and let us know the number of people in your group through the Update section. You probably go to Facebook at least once a day (don't lie), so when you do, just check how big your group is and send us the number through an update. You can check on the Standings page as to how your group is doing in the contest. Remember, a lot of friends is essential, but our judging committee will ultimately decide who the winner is based on the overall page as well. Your last update should be in on Thursday May 24th before Noon.
After that, our judging committee will go through the Facebook pages and decide who will win the $7,000.
The winner will be announced on The Dean Blundell Show on the morning of Friday, May 25th.
