Hello out there! I don't have all that much to say right now. I just wanted to let everyone know that our application to the IRS for 501(c)3 status was submitted last week. Our lawyers told us that we should hear back from the government within three months or so. Another bit of news, which you already may have noticed, is our new search results page--you no longer get taken away to a Google-hosted page after you search for something at Search Kindly.
And because Search Kindly actually owns the pages that the results are displayed on, we are going to be changing up the "Add to Searchbox" feature so that you will be taken directly to the results page, instead of being sent to the home page first. We are going to be updating the code for that feature mid-next week.
And the last bit of information that I have at this time has to do with the new website that we are working on. Ramadev is heading up that project and he just told me that there are about 40-man hours of work left on it. In an ideal world, that's only one work-week. Unfortunately, though, the real-world isn't being very cooperative, so we may not being releasing the beta of Search Kindly 2.0 until the first week of February. I know that I've been pushing the date back and back, and for that I apologize. Let's just all cross our fingers and hope that we can push out a relatively stable version of the SK 2.0 within the next few weeks.
Ok, that's about it. Till next time...
