I'm sure that you all have noticed the new search results
page that we have. Unlike how the results used to be supplied, now you get to
stay at Search Kindly and receive the search results. I was really excited
about this new feature when I started looking into it because I thought that we
would be instantaneously doubling our traffic. But the weird thing is that our
numbers really haven't gone up that much.
Sure, there's been a slight bump, but
nothing spectacular...and I just can't figure it out. Anyway, the subject of this
post is the Add To Searchbox button that is located just above the menu.
Although the button hasn't changed, the way that the button works has. What
happens now is if you've installed Search Kindly as a preferred search provider
in your browser, you will be taken directly to the search results page. The old way was kind of
lame because it forced you to come to the Search Kindly home page first and
then hit enter again.
I've tested it in a few browsers and it seems to be
working just swell. On Internet Explorer 7 if you have the old version then you
might have to delete it and then click Add to Searchbox again. But on Firefox
it should work automatically. Hope you all like it.
