I like all the ideas below, there just aren't enough people coming. Seems like we're losing momentum. I know someone has suggested it in the past, but is it possible to buy the domain name SK.org, and have it forward to Searchkindly.org? Because, honestly, if I'm in a rush, I'll "Google" because it's faster than typing "Searchkindly." It might help a little.

Well, going back to the "Particular Person", and your ideas.

I was just thinking that, what searchkindly can do, is maybe base the $ percents off of who gets voted for. Ex: Charity "A" gets 25% of votes, and therefore gets a quarter of the money for the month, etc.

I do believe this site could get pretty awesome if if starts to take off though.. The youtube videos sound pretty good, and if we could get some well known people to get involved, (A simple email is all it needs) it can really help

To get more money for maintaining the website and adding new features, you could sell t-shirts with the search kindly logo on them. Also, it would be a great way to tell others about it when they see our shirts.

SK is a registered non-profit in the state of Illinois, but not federally...yet. As far as I know, their application is still in a huge pile of other applications waiting to be approved. You can look in the blog archives to track previous progress.

I think I answered my own question...SearchKindly isn't yet a registered non-profit organization? Well wasn't there an application filed to become one? What's going on with that? Was it denied, accepted...?

Sorry if it seems like I'm spamming here...

Speaking of GoodSearch...since this is a non-profit site, can't it be registered with GoodSearch to allow searches to generate revenue for SearchKindly? Then perhaps everyone could use GoodSearch instead of Google since no money is actually generated from the searches anyway? Just wondering...

It is really easy to create a youtube channel and make a video on a digital camera. Once you make one, post a link here, and we can each watch it. Also, put the videos on your myspace or whatever social network you use to get your friends to watch it. If we all do this on the same day and get as many people as we can to watch them, we could get them on the front page of youtube, which would be awesome! Other groups have done this too. Is anybody up for this?

We've made about $92 over the past 25 days by visiting search kindly. That's only an average of $3.68 a day. We really need to work together to come up with some cool ways to get the word out. The more we get the word out, the more people will come, and more money will be made for charity.

I was thinking that we should all make our own video telling why we like search kindly and then posting it on our own youtube channels.

(Continued II...)
I really like the idea of this site, and I think it could really help if it were to take off. I hope in the future enough money can be generated to give each charity their own amounts, though I know that goal will be hard to reach with picky people such as myself. But I would rather use a site like GoodSearch that allows you to choose which charities you're generating your money for.
