i'm confused as to how the money is being split up for April and for May. I thought Baal Dan gets almost all the money for April, and invisible children gets some of that. So for May wouldn't Invisible children get most of the money and Face AIDS get a small portion of the money from May as their "consolation prize"? So why would we would reaching the goal of $750 do anything for Face AIDS getting their consolation prize?

--Yes, you're right. This is really goofy because we are a month behind in who we support and we are a month early on who gets selected. Thanks for catching all of that because I had not really thought-through what I was saying. So here is the deal...All of the money that we raised this month (almost $700) will get split (not evenly, of course) between Baal Dan and Invisible Children. And then all of the money that we raise in May, that in its entirety will go to Invisible Children. But, if we can hit our $750-goal for this month, then Face Aids will receive a $100 consolation prize, which will come out of next month's earnings. Thanks again for pointing that out.--Syed

This is so cool. I'm telling everyone I know. Everyone uses google, so they can still use this and feel good about doing it. This website is awesome.

Syed - I'm so glad things worked out well for you yesterday. I was one of the forty who wrote one of your profs - I think you have done great work here. I'm so glad that you started this up. I had nothing but great things to say about this site, and your hard work. You deserve to be recognized. :)

Thanks for your help and all of your support. You don't know how much it means to have so many people behind us really make a difference. It's an incredible feeling.
I would like to add, though, that there is another little man behind the curtain who is pulling some strings here at Search Kindly--Ramadev. You all should look him up, he's on Facebook...and I'm pretty sure that he's the only 'Ramadev' there.
Thanks again, everyone. This has been great so far and I'm sure that it's only going to get better.

I think that this search engine is an amazing idea. Giving to charities through visits on a webpage is so wonderful. Especially to the Invisible Children and Save Darfur. My school has been working to raise money and awareness for both charities. The littlest donation goes a long way.

I think the "Windows Live" ads are cool! :)

I think the huge ad below the search box prevents a new visitor to the site from seeing what we're all about. It blocks the part of the homepage that lists the amount of money raised, charities.. If I came to this site for the first time I would simply think it's some ad page and leave right away. The BuyKindly box is also important, because how does a new user find out about that?

--We're in the process of rearranging some things--hopefully by the end of the week. I'd like to bring that thermometer just below the menu again, but we've got to fiddle with some things first. The site's been acting kind of goofy lately(the server, I mean), so we're dealing with those issues before working on the layout again. And just so you know, I do agree with your statement...and Buy Kindly will be up shortly.--Syed

About 2 million girls a year experience Female Genital Mutilation, many more are forced into early marriage, and tens of millions are forced to seek refuge from armed conflict and gender based violence. Give a Girl a Chance, a Feminenza programme, provides financial assistance to help pay for education and contributes significantly towards the cost of the girls' rehabilitation, mentoring and development. The focus this coming year is Africa's Great Lakes Region (Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Tanzania). The girls, upon completion of their education, will contribute to the fund, to help carry it forward for others.
