I just realized, by going to the Proof of Giving page, that October is Search Kindly's 2nd birthday! Another reason to spread the word, and double our donations from now through the end of October! Actually, to reach $15,000 by Sunday Nov. 2 we need to be averaging $250 a week, which is a little more than doubling our current weekly average, but I think that if all of us that are regulars at SK try hard to get the word out, we could make that goal.

Halloween will be here in about 7 weeks. We currently total $13,256. If we keep up the same pace of around $105 each week we will reach $14,000 by Halloween, but if we all work hard on spreading the word, and getting more people to make SK their homepage, we could raise more. Is anybody up to doubling our contribution for the next 7 weeks to make Search Kindly's total giving 15,000 by Halloween?

Would you please add Noah's Ark located in Locust Grove Ga. to your poll? It is a place where rescued animals and abused children come together to help each other heal and learn to trust again. They are a great organization and need all the help they can get.

Um...are we supposed to have audio advertisements? Because someone just used my speaker to tell me to get a free nitendo wii, apparently as part of the ad at the bottom of the page.
--Nope...I'm hoping to find out which one that is so I can take it off the list. --Syed

Do you think it might make more sense to just put up 3 or 2 charities a week? If a charity's share is only a few dollars, they are not gaining very much because it costs them money to process the check. It might be better to split the pot among fewer charities, at least until the money raised each week is more significant.

I just wanted to say that I love the new voting/donation system. It's pretty awesome that SK found a way to make it so that everybody gets a piece of the pie and no matter which charity people vote for, all of them benefit just by virtue of those voters visiting the site. I think it's pretty ingenious, actually.
And all of the naysayers who think that the amounts being donated are too small simply need to spread the word about SK and the amounts will grow!
