Why would a supposedly 'charitable' website advertise a scam as blatant as the American Green Card? It's disgusting! I refuse to use this website ever again.
--Sorry about that. We don't have any control over the ads that are displayed. Basically, all we can do is ask our ad network to limit the ads to those that are family-friendly.
Out of curiosity, could you tell me more about the American Green Card advertisement? I've never seen it before, so I'm curious as to what about it was so offensive.
Thanks. --Syed

What exactly is the "library box project" that's almost ready? I'm excited to hear about it!
--Oh...did I write that it was almost ready? Although we're making some progress on it, we won't be able to move forward on it until the IRS grants our tax-exempt status. The reason we need that designation is because we are going to be hitting up corporations and foundations for grants money in order to build out the boxes. But we are getting all of the logistics worked out!
Thanks for your interest. --Syed

Syed,
I haven't written for "years", since I first became aware of SearchKindly.
I want to pass on something I have done that you might suggest to others.
With Windows XP (and probalby Vista) that allows you set up several tabs that all open when I turn on the laptop, I set up one tab with SK. That way, whenever I need to search for anything, it is sitting right there. I use it sometimes even when I know the name of the website I am going to.
Keep up the very good work.

No update since May 31... What's up with the project?
--Sorry about that. Yes. things have slowed down a bit due to the limbo-state that we are in. I'll make a call to the IRS in the morning to see how far along our final review is. Just a waiting game... --Syed

Is Search Kindly on hiatus? I'm just curious as to if money is still being accumulated, or what's going on with this library program because it seems like it's been a while since there have been recent updates?

Hey, just wanted to let you guys know that there is a new charity search engine that uses google, givoogle.com. But it only gives charity to one organization, the American Cancer Society.

Thanks for your work! I think this will be big someday- hopefully you can eventually set up the 'mechanism' to have 'back' return to your homepage instead of google. [I don't know how.]
Perhaps you would consider a slightly different angle in your new charity work- i.e., fund a publishing organization in Africa (in partnership with a school, I suppose) to print books there, which would be written by people in Africa and be relevant to their needs and about their issues and interests. RSVP..

By the way, the idea from my last two posts is one I've had for awhile and forgot to post it. I read the new blog afterwards. It looks like you guys had the same idea. :)
