Good morning Syed/Search Kindly! I ask that you consider adding Food For The Poor (www.foodforthepoor.org) to your impressive list of charities you currently support.

Food For The Poor is the second largest international charity in the US according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy. The organization focuses on providing relief to impoverished nations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Food For The Poor's efficiency is well documented, including consistent five star ratings from Charity Navigator. Additionally, Food For The Poor's overhead is low--with over 96% of all donations going directly to programs that help the poor.

With food prices skyrocketing, I hope Search Kindly will consider adding Food For The Poor to it's list. Regardless, thank you for the wonderful positive work you do!

I would like to suggest World Vision and The Salvation Army. Both use their funds and resources very responsibly and are accomplishing great things here in Chicago and all around the world.

I was wondering if there was a reason why when you search for something it no longer goes to a results page full of ads like before.

--That's because Google changed their policy regarding Custom Search. We're hoping to get in touch with someone there to see what we can do about that. --Syed

Dear Search Kindly,
Philanthropy Today led me to your cause and I believe that Housing & Service, Inc., operating for 20 years in Manhattan, would be a good charity to add to your list. As I am sure you know, many of the difficulties people face (lack of employment, hunger, disease) are rooted in homelessness. At HSI, we address the problems of homelessness at the source, providing permanent, supportive housing to formerly homeless men and women. Supportive Housing is a permanent solution to the chronic problem of homelessness, as opposed to shelters which are structured to provide temporary relief. We operate three apartment buildings in Manhattan and a Scatter-Site in the Bronx. Each location is structured around case management and over 500 men and women are comfortably and safely housed with on-site support services such as recovery, counseling, medical and educational resources. We also build supportive housing for other non-profits and have helped to preserve over 3,000 units of Affordable Housing in New York by advocating on behalf of tenants organizations who faced the end of 30 year leases at their affordable housing Mitchell Lama building. Rather that being evicted, HSI helped these individuals become first time homeowners. To learn more about our Non-Profit, please go to http://www.hsi-ny.org or call me, Wren Longno, Director of Communications and Events at 212-252-9377, extension 123. Thank you for piloting such a great idea. Those of us in the Non-Profit sector are continually scrambling for resources and Search Kindly will help! Best, Wren Longno

--Sure thing. I'll make sure that it gets added to the list. --Syed

Please consider Joy Junction (www.joyjunction.org) which is New Mexico's largest homeless shelter.

I founded the organization in 1986 and we accommodate more than 300 homeless people each night.

Best regards

Hey, the searchbox is malfunctioning again. When I type in a search in my searchbox, it takes me to the searchkindly homepage, not the results page. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

--Will be sure to look into it. Thanks for letting us know! --Syed
