The Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation enables single parents of children with life-threatening illnesses to care for their children full time by relieving financial burdens when other resources are exhausted or unavailable.

Do you intend for the results pages of Image, Video, etc. searches to not have any ads?

--No, it's not our intention that they are left "blank", it's just that we can't figure out a way to incorporate Image and Video search into our custom search engine. Of course, we are always open to suggestions. --Syed

Haha sorry again. I would also like to suggest the Lance Armstrong Foundation (Livestrong). Their mission statement is:
"The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) inspires and empowers people affected by cancer. From the moment of diagnosis, we provide the practical information and tools survivors need to live with cancer. We serve our mission through public health, advocacy, research and education, including the LIVESTRONG Resource for Cancer Survivors."

Oh, I forgot - I was curious as to whether the 1/3 cent is donated each time you search using this site, or just when you visit it. Also, on the "Who We Support" link where it lists the charities suggested and it has another section below where it says "2007," are those the groups that haven't been donated to yet or are they groups that are being considered for the list above? Thanks again.

--The 1/3-cent is every time the home page (or any other page that is not the results-page) is visited. Because there are fewer ads on the results-page, we don't take in as much in advertising revenue from it. We did that so the page would load quickly for all of you who are using Search Kindly in your searchbox. Wow, I hadn't looked at the Who We Support page in awhile. It's kind of confusing. Basically, that's an old list of all the charities that have been suggested. Newly suggested charities are given priority on the polls, but once an organization has been listed once, it is randomly selected from all of the suggested charities for future polls. --Syed

Hi, just wanted to suggest the American Diabetes Association... and thought it was rather amusing that you had an insulin ad at the bottom of the page but no diabetes-related causes. Their mission statement is:
"The mission of the Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

To fulfill this mission, the American Diabetes Association funds research, publishes scientific findings, provides information and other services to people with diabetes, their families, health professionals and the public. The Association is also actively involved in advocating for scientific research and for the rights of people with diabetes."

Thanks!

SearchKindly is an AMAZING idea, but I must agree, you need to advertise the site a bit more. I got wind of it from the New Moon magazine as well... :D

--I'm beginning to agree with you. Actually, I've always thought that, it's just that we don't really have the resources to do so. But that should change once we are designated as a 501(c)3-organization. Once that happens, we will be able to run public service announcements all over the place. --Syed

Ok, I guess I should have read more of the comments before asking that lol. I see now that it IS from the magazine.

OH MY GOD!!!!! That must be the letter I wrote! I can't believe it! *spazzes out*

OH MY GOD! :'D

--It looks like a little bit can go a really long way. Thanks for helping to spread the word! --Syed
